In Riva is the first venture by Philadelphia-born Chef Arthur Cavaliere, who has combined the similarities of his two favorite cities – Naples and Philadelphia – to deliver an unparalleled culinary experience. Sticking with the Italian translation of its name, In Riva is located “Along the Banks” of the Schuylkill River in East Falls.
Specializing in Napoletana style pizza, prepared in a wood fire oven, house made pastas and antipasti designed for sharing, our menu delivers outstanding renditions of Southern Italian classics, along with unexpected, yet equally satisfying, contemporary dishes. At the bar you will find an eclectic array of new and old world wines, Italian craft beers and specialty cocktails, each named after world-class Italian cyclists. As one of the largest outdoor dining spaces within the Philadelphia restaurant scene, In Riva’s Patio boasts a Full Bar and nearly 100 seats. Philadelphia-born chef Arthur Cavaliere has been a part of the always-evolving Philadelphia restaurant scene for over 20 years. He began his career during high school, as a line cook in Manayunk, just a few blocks from where he works today. After graduating from college, Arthur had the opportunity to run some of the most successful kitchens in Philadelphia and Washington DC–Iron Chef Jose Garces’ Amada, Stephen Starr’s El Vez and Parc and Michel Richard’s Central Michel Richard. Arthur’s impressive resume and passion for food are the perfect ingredients for a successful culinary establishment.
